Hi all! After my last post about extensions for Mozilla Firefox, I was asked to do the same for Google Chrome. If you asked, you got it, but since I practically don’t use this browser, I don’t have any personal preferences in this review. I just looked through the most popular add-ons and chose those that I would like to use.
AdBlock – no comments, an extension that blocks all kinds of annoying ads is now also for Chrome, subscriptions are the same as in the case of Firefox. Most popular extension.
BugMeNot Lite – very interesting addition. Is an add-on to the public accounts service BugMeNot. In other words, this is a huge database of logins and passwords for the most popular sites. Sometimes, when you urgently need to log in to the desired site, but there is no time to register, it can save a lot of time.
ChromeCat — site link shortener murl.kz. It has quite interesting settings that allow you to customize the link format to suit your needs.
Chromed Bird — the extension allows you to read the feed and interact with your Twitter account. Convenient and pleasant interface, many settings. The best of these extensions for Chrome.
Download Helper — an add-on that adds the function of intercepting links to popular download managers: FlashGet, eMule, Orbit and others.
Download Master — extension from domestic developers. Easily and simply intercepts links in Download Master.
Firebug Lite for Google Chrome — www.44acescasino.uk allows you to view and analyze the code of web pages, change it on the fly, edit and change CSS styles of sites. It is strictly recommended for use by all web developers and layout designers.
FlashBlock — blocking flash elements on website pages. A very convenient thing, it saves traffic, unloads pages and removes ads that AdBlock couldn’t handle.
Google Mail Checker Plus — verification and passwordless access to your Gmail account. Not a bad addition, in principle, but I prefer to use it for such mailbox monitoring QIP Infium or Pidgin.
MusicSiq vkontakte — an addition that seriously expands the capabilities and functions of VKontakte. Here you can download music, view its characteristics, convenient menus, add emoticons, expand calendar functions and much more tasty things. I recommend it to those who like to use this social network.
Session Manager — a useful extension that allows you to save groups of tabs for later opening them later. Convenient for creating thematic groups or groups for later reading.
Smooth Gestures — extension for those who like unusual navigation or Opera lovers. Allows you to navigate through pages using mouse gestures. I would never use this, but I have friends who adore Opera for this feature.
SpeedDial — the add-on creates an analogue of quick access to sites in Opera, a very convenient thing that allows you to quickly access your favorite sites. Fully customizable, the number of sites you can cram in is simply huge.
Stop Autoplay for YouTube — without exaggerating at all, I can say that this is an amazing expansion. Stops automatic playback of YouTube videos, but does not stop buffering. Very useful when opening several videos at once, and generally makes life easier.
TinEye Reverse Image Search — search for similar images in the site’s huge database TinEye. Built into the context menu. Very easy to use, but this in no way diminishes its usefulness.
Ultimate Chrome Flag – an extension similar to the add-on for Firefox called FlagFox. Shows the flag of the country in which the servers on which the site is hosted are located, as well as statistics: Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank and, which made me very happy, WOT statistics.
uTorrent for Google Chrome – popular torrent client. Built in browser. There’s nothing more to add.
VKontakte Tools — allows you to download music, videos, check new messages, chat, scrobble music on LastFm, instantly display an incoming message. I paid attention to it only because there is an integration function with Last.fm.
WOT – analog additions for Mozilla Firefox, evaluates the security and reliability of a site based on its user-rated rating in four categories: trust, reliability, privacy and child safety. Also allows you to leave your review or short comment about the site.
Xmarks — as I already said in one of my posts — this is a multi-browser add-on that allows you to synchronize bookmarks, passwords, saved sessions between different computers. An indispensable addition for those who visit the same sites at home and, for example, at work.
